On your way back down, take the time to stop at the adorable small café at the Hôtel Ambrose for a coffee break. You absolutely must taste their coconut waffles, they are divine!
The house, where the hotel reception is located, was once owned by a certain Mrs. Ambrose. We know very little about her, except for stories told by former tenants. The Family Suite was the Suite Familiale room that Mrs Ambrose preserved in memory of her husband, deceased during the Second World War. Having this wide space to herself, she decided to rent out these rooms to travelers and students. They have kept the same sign from back then on the glass panel at the main entrance up to this day.
